I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
